There are three common types of self-adhesive glue: hot melt glue, emulsion glue (usually called water glue) and solvent glue (usually called oil glue).

1. Hot melt glue

Advantages:

 Most of them are rubber-based adhesives with strong fluidity and strong adhesion; especially the initial adhesion is strong and the labeling effect is better than water glue when there is a trace amount of oil or water on the surface of the object to be pasted.

Disadvantages:

A.  Not resistant to high temperatures and can only be used below 70 degrees.

B.  It is sensitive to temperature during processing. If processed in winter, it will become hard and brittle if the temperature is lower than 10 degrees Celsius.

C.  Poor stability and poor durability

D.  Cannot be attached to PVC and other materials that have plasticizer exuding.

Application areas :  Labeling environments that do not require too high temperatures and require high initial adhesion, such as supermarket labels, logistics labels, carton labels, etc.

2. Latex agent-water glue

Advantages:

It is an acrylic adhesive. Strong chemical stability and durability: environmentally friendly and non-toxic, more resistant to high temperatures than hot melt adhesives, and easy to die-cut and process.

Disadvantages:

poor low-temperature labeling performance, slight water or oil stains on the object to be labeled, greatly affecting the adhesiveness of the water;

Application areas : Used on the labels of industrial products with high environmental and durability requirements, such as food, pharmaceuticals, and daily chemical products.

3. Solvent glue-oil glue

Advantages:

An adhesive that uses a solvent as a medium to dissolve the adhesive and then apply it. Strong viscosity, not easy to spill glue, resistant to high temperatures and suitable for outdoor labeling

Disadvantages:

Most solvent glues have solvent residues, and the production process requires a high temperature resistance environment, which is not environmentally friendly and costly.

Mirror coated paper

Material features:

Smooth and bright white coated paper with polished surface, excellent surface gloss, good printability and hiding power

Widely used for high-gloss color label printing. Typical uses include cosmetic labels, pharmaceutical labels, food labels, and promotional labels, etc. to avoid labeling small-diameter bottles.

Coated paper

Material features:

A semi-glossy paper with a glossiness between matte and mirror.

Application:

Suitable for various printing methods and ribbon printing, etc.

Thermal Paper

Material features:

A coated paper with a thermal coating. Coatings with different properties are applied on the thermal coating according to actual application requirements, making the thermal paper extra waterproof, oil-proof, alcohol-proof, and anti-aging. Plastic and other environmental resistance properties.

Application:

Used in thermal printing systems, it has excellent printing performance and can be used for general conventional printing.

Double offset paper

Material features:

A white matte paper with a specially treated surface.

Application:

Suitable for single-color or multi-color commercial printing and suitable for laser printing and inkjet printing.

Original paper

Material features:

Paper that has not been processed for special purposes.

Application:

Hot glue

Universal permanent rubber-based adhesive, a universal adhesive suitable for most surface materials. It has good initial viscosity and final viscosity and is suitable for sticking to various conventional substrates (plastics, carton packaging materials, glass and Metal containers, etc.).

Recommended minimum labeling temperature: 10℃

Application fields:

Mainly used in food, beverages, packaging logistics, daily chemicals (washing), medicine, pesticides, variable information, etc.

Water glue

Applicable performance:

Universal high-viscosity permanent acrylic emulsion glue with good initial viscosity and final viscosity, good die-cutting and waste discharge performance, suitable for sticking to various conventional substrates (plastics, carton packaging materials, glass and metal material container, etc.).

Recommended minimum labeling temperature: 10℃

Operating temperature range: -20℃~100℃

Application fields:

Mainly used in food, packaging logistics, daily chemicals, medicine, variable information, etc.

Membrane glue

Applicable performance:

General film acrylic adhesive, mainly suitable for film labels, especially helpful in showing the transparent properties of transparent films. It has good initial viscosity and final viscosity and is suitable for plastics, glass, daily chemical products, etc.

Recommended minimum labeling temperature: 10℃

Operating temperature range: -20℃~100℃

Removable glue

Applicable performance:

Removable acrylic glue has a wide range of applications and good initial tack properties. It can be peeled off cleanly from most adhered substrates without leaving any adhesive residue.

Mainly used in in-process transfer, furniture, office, personal care and other fields

Frozen glue

Applicable performance:

Frozen rubber-based adhesive, specially designed for applications in low temperature and refrigerated environments. In a lower temperature environment, it has good initial viscosity and final viscosity, and is suitable for paper, cartons, films, glass and other substrates.

Recommended minimum labeling temperature: -20°C
